San Clemente Car Show

It’s that time again.  The 19th annual San Clemente Car show happens this Sunday from 10am until 2pm and will include over 300 cars, food, music and more.  The quality of cars that shows up on Del Mar Ave in the heart of downtown San Clemente this Sunday is quite impressive.  Add food, music and the best weather on Earth, and you’ve got a great show.  Between 20,000 to 30,000 people are expected this year.  The usual Sunday farmer’s market will still take place so you can load up on fresh food and flowers for your ride home.

  • This show was excellent! Great variety with select low production and one-off examples (e.g., Catfish, Powerglide C2 Corvettes, weber carb 1962 Corvette and so many more). I was visiting from DC and if coming here, the only shows which rival San Clemente are the Rockville MD annual October show, Great Falls VA early Saturday morning “Cars and Coffee” super car show (Veyrons, Ferraris, Lambos, Benz SLRs, etc.), and the Sunday morning Burtonsville MD show which involves hundreds of cars. Some rare cars this weekend at San Clemente included the tri-power 1957 Olds J2, 1963 Pontiac 421, pristine 56 Chevy Nomads, 70 GTO Judge, the “pure beauty” twin turbo (each protruding from the front quarters) silver 1932 Ford custom roadster and so many more. Already planning to attend next year. Always fun to talk with owners and learn about each car’s history (believe the owner of the 1941 Humpmobile is the 2nd owner). I own a 1990 ZR-1 LT5 Corvette and I’m the 3rd owner. So many nice people met at San Clemente this weekend. CA people are laid back, always smiling and happy! The weather is special too! Previously lived in SD, Long Beach and Port Hueneme. Miss CA.
