Preparing for Fun Under the Sun

The Catfish needs a little attention.  It had a “dirt shower” at Streets of Willow and has generally been treated like an R&D project more than a sports car in the last month.  Therefore getting ready for the “2014 Fun Under the Sun” show put on by the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles was as good an excuse as any to clean up the car.

The interior has seen the bulk of the work—and it probably won’t be done until the night before the show–but work is progressing nicely.

–micro-suede is being added to the side panels, and all panel have received the “Fat Mat” quieting treatment

–we now have laser-cut custom “CB” center caps on the wheels

–the gauge panel has been freshened up with new custom gauge faces from Revlimiter.net, complete with Catfish logo

–the rock chips on the front of the car have been fixed

If you’re in the area, Fun Under the Sun will be held at the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA (outside of San Fernando Valley), April 12th, 2014, from 9am to 4pm.  Go HERE for more information.

Wow, those gauges look fantastic. Microfiber is looking sharp too!

Adam sure does amazing work on the gauges. He just finished mine a couple of weeks ago with a definite Catfish flavor. I’m in the process of building the overall dash back up with separate pilot lights, gauge bezel etc, will share once its done.
