The annual Trek to SEMA

I bombed out to Las Vegas this morning and dropped off the Catfish at the SEMA show.  It’s in a PRIME location right by the North Hall walkway–inside–overlooking the entrance and the taxi stand.  It simply couldn’t be better, and I’m sharing space with a beautiful Shelby GT350 Mustang and a custom Corvette with one of the most beautiful paint jobs I’ve ever seen.

First stop was the Green Lot, waiting for formal entry to the show.  This is a show in itself, as you’ll be able to see from the pictures.  There are some crazy, crazy cars at the show.  After a while you stop asking “why”, because there really isn’t a serious reason for some of this nonsense other than a love of cars and a love of tinkering.

I’ll try to post more during the show as time and bandwidth permits.  Also look for quick uploads on the Facebook page, as it’s simply easier to take a picture and upload for no particular reason.

SEMA “Green Lot” with the other Feature Vehicles. This one looks like a Delahaye, although I saw a cone filter through the mesh. Reproduction?

The yellow one has “authentic” rust. The brown one is patina’d paint. Love ‘em.

There’s the beautiful Shelby GT350, and the main entrance just beyond that. See you at SEMA!
